Dear
Friends of the Society,
The
year 2009 Journal of the Society of Marine Port Engineers, New York, is being
prepared in conjunction with our Sixtieth First Annual Dinner Dance. Please
refer to the Diner Dance link for details regarding this prestigous event.
Our
Society is a nonprofit professional organization founded in 1946 to promote the
interests and welfare of the maritime industry. The members occupy key positions
in vessel operations, maintenance and repair, and support services in both the
inland and deep-sea fleets. We are affiliated with the Society of Naval
Architects and Marine Engineers, the American Society of Naval Engineers, and
the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. The Society also
works closely with the State and Federal maritime academies and engineering
schools.
Proceeds
from your Journal ad will allow us to continue to support our scholarship,
grant, and education programs. Copies of the Journal will be distributed to over
three hundred Society members, associates and other key marine personnel, who
use it as a handy reference tool when in need of repairs and supplies. Your ad
will also be posted on the Society website (see the 2008 Journal Ads).
For
your convenience, we have enclosed an advertising contract with instructions for
ad submission. Should you favor us with your support, please return the contract
with your ad by April 15, 2009.
